FULL FLOATING HUB
ASSEMBLY WITH ARTICULATING AXLE
With
this rear axle assembly by Summers Bros. you can get an honest 24
of verticle rear wheel travel while only deflecting the CV by 24°. The
outer CV is located outside wheel flange mounting surface, which reduces
joint angle. Other features are: 40% longer drive axle length, tapered Timken
pre-loaded roller bearings, heat treated chrome molybdenum spindles, 6061
T6 aluminum bar stock bearing housing, ultra high sercive life leather boots,
six piston fixed calipers with dust seals on pistons, no external crossover
lines, large area brake pads, and 10mm fine thread CV bolts.

FORD AXLE HOUSING
Summers
Brothers takes select 9 Ford axle housings, removes the tubes, fish
mouths the banjo ends and installs heat treated molybdenum tubes, then directly
gussets the inside ends of the tube to the inside of the banjo, forming
a very strong and stiff structure. These housings are custom made to your
specs, and are sold outright. Call for ordering information.

Summers
Brothers spools are available in most standard spline sizes as well as
oversize spline sizes. They are usually 2/3 the weight of a standard differential
and are maintenance free. Manufactured from chrome molybdenum steel and
hardened for strength and wear resistance, they are carefully designed
for minimum weight and maximum stiffness. Ring and pinion gear life is
enhanced with the spools use due to the spools great stiffness.

A
lightweight full-floating hub and disc brake assembly by Summers Brothers.
Features: large diameter Timken tapered roller bearings, lightweight component
design, vented brake rotors, lightweight fixed position calipers, 11/16
dia studs, 300,000 psi strength axles and high strength chrome molybdenum
steel spindles.
Note - spindles must be welded to the axle housing. Call for order information.

HIGH STRENGTH FORGED
CHROME NICKEL STEEL AXLES
These forged flanged axles are fully profiled, heat treated
and ground on bearing journals and flange faces. They are acailable in popular
spline sizes and wheel lug patterns, and can be used with special big I.D.
axle bearings to allow large diameter bearing journals - necessary to survive
the tremendous bending forces of high performance and off-road driving.

HIGH STRENGTH FORGED
ONE-PIECE JEEP AXLE KIT
1976
and later Jeep CJ-7 and CJ-5 rear axles are two-piece axles with the flange
keyed to the shaft. These axles are very prone to axle key shearing. When
this happens, the jeep is immobilized and the whole axle shaft assembly
must be replaced.
Summers
Brothers offers a solution: a one-piece forged nickel steel axle that
has no joint. This axle not only eliminates the joint problem, but it
is also of
superior strength due to its chrome nickel alloy composition.
Axle kit includes: two forged axles, two bearing abutment rings, two bearing
retainer flanges (seals installed),
two Timken tapered roller bearings, two bearing collars, two oversize
housing seals and instruction sheet.

driver- or passenger-side axle
