The more wheel travel your vehicle has the more the shock absorber has to stroke, and this longer stroke generates extra heat. With the suppleness of coil springs extra control is also demanded from the shock absorber valving, and this also creates heat. Traditional shocks can cope with these extra demands, under normal conditions, until the going gets really tough. Old Man Emu's LTR's are all hand assembled using only the best quality components, and are completely serviceable, if required. The shock absorbers are individually valved to specific vehicles to ensure excellent ride characteristics and are designed to revel even in the most arduous conditions.
