With a standart differential, traction is limited by the spinning wheel.

The Detroit E-Z LockerTM differential lets your vehicle drive when one wheel loses traction - even if it leaves the ground. It prevents a "one-wheel spinout" which greatly reduces the power to the LEFT other wheel.

It also compensates for differences in wheel travel and speed when turning. RIGHT

With a Detroit E-Z Locker differential, maximum traction is available to both wheels. If one wheel loses traction, the opposite wheel will still drive the vehicle

Left SIDE GEAR moves ahead as its CLUTCH disengages (moving inward) to permit overruning at a faster speed.

RIGHT SIDE GEAR & CLUTCH remain locked; right wheel drives the vehicle.
