

Performance Distributors now offers the D.U.I. (Davis Unified Ignition) for AMC
engines. The AMC D.U.I. is a one-piece ignition system with the coil in the
distributor cap and the module inside the distributor. The D.U.I. Coil produces
50,000 volts and allows spark plug gaps to be opened up to .050" - .055". The
Performance Distributors Dyna-Module has more electronic dwell time in it to give
the coil more saturation time and produce a hotter spark. The D.U.I. distributor
eliminates the ballast resistor that is used on the stock AMC ignition system. This
will allow full alternator voltage through the ignition system and will provide a stronger
spark and more power.
Each D.U.I. Distributor is tuned on a distributor machine based on the specs of the
engine. A super smooth advance curve will eliminate engine damaging detonation
and give instant throttle response. The unit is polished and lubed as it is assembled
making it a true blueprinted distributor.
The AMC D.U.I. is a real work of craftsmanship and although it is uniquely designed,
replacement parts are easy to find. High Energy Ignition (H.E.I.) replacement parts
will fit right on the D.U.I. These parts can be found at any local auto parts store.

Land Rover and Range Rover owners have been almost totally ignored
by the performance ignition manufacturers - until now!
Performance Distributors now offers a D.U.I. (Davis Unified Ignition)
distributor, which is a compact,
one-piece ignition system for Land Rover and Range Rover V8 engines.
The D.U.I. is virtually water, mud and vibration proof because
the electronic components are protected inside the distributor.
All you have to do is run one 12 volt hot wire to the D.U.I.
and you are ready to run! There is also an optional tach hookup provided.
The D.U.I. features a 50,000 volt coil and the high output Dyna Module.
The coil and the module work together to produce a longer duuration spark,
allowing spark plug gaps to be opened up to a whopping .055"
The larger spark plug gap burns the fuel mixture more completely,
leading to more power. A hotter spark also keeps your plugs cleaner longer.
The D.U.I. allows FULL voltage in the ignition system - no ballast resistor is used.
Every D.U.I. is hand assembled to exact tolerances - no mass production.
Every unit is calibrated on a distributor machine with a super smooth
advance curve providing you with instant throttle response and more power,
while eliminating damaging detonation. A coordinated vacuum advance is also utilized.
No trial and error for you - the advance curve is already dialed in.
Built for durability, the D.U.I. features both an upper and lower oil impregnated bushing.
A heavy duty cap and rotor with solid brass terminals is included.
Cap colors are available in Red, Black, Blue, Yellow and Clear.

Our one-piece ignition systems for Marine applications are virtually waterproof.
The electronic Dyna-Module and the 50,000 volt coil are built inside the distributor,
protecting them from moisture and the severe vibrations that marine engines must withstand.
The Marine DUI is an easy drop-in unit that requires only one hot wire for hookup.
Other performance ignitions require an array of messy wiring
which is always suspect to the hazards of boating.
Because the DUI Coil and Dyna-Module produce a longer duration spark,
you can open the spark plug gaps to .055", burning fuel more completely.
The DUI utilizes a brass terminal cap and rotor, insuring maximum conductivity.
Every distributor is calibrated on a distributor machine that will give you the
instant throttle response that other off-the-shelf distributors will not provide.
A very smooth advance curve is dialed in, whether it be for performance cruising or all out racing.
Our marine distributors are blueprinted. Each one is polished, lubed and checked
for exact tolerances as they are assembled. Flame arrestors are installed on each housing.
The GM and Ford Marine DUI is available in two versions. The Marine-7000 version is designed to provide superior performance for stock to mildly
modified engines up to 7000 rpms. The Marine-9000 version is built for high performance and racing engines up to 9000 rpms.
Performance Distributors is now building the one-piece DUI Distributor for Marine EFI motors.
Converting your remote mount coil that comes on many of today's EFI engines,
is easy and will bulletproof your ignition system. It will also reduce your wiring to a bare minimum. A plug-in adapter is also included.
If space is a factor with your E.F.I. Chevy, use the remote mount coil style distributor. This system includes the high output Dyna-Module and brass terminal cap and rotor.
The Screamin' Demon Coil allows you to open the spark plug gaps to .060", burning your fuel more completely.

one piece ignition system, D.U.I. is three letters you cannot do without! The D.U.I. (Davis
Unified Ignition) allows you to Drive Under the Influence of more power. The newest addition
to the D.U.I. distributor lineup is now available for Toyota Landcruisers with the (F) 237 ci
and (2F) 258 ci inline 6 cylinder. The D.U.I. features a high voltage coil and high dwell module
which is located inside the distributor. Only one 12 volt hot wire is needed to get your engine
charged with a D.U.I. The distributor is custom tuned on a distributor machine for your engine
using specs such as cam duration & lift, compression ratio, vehicle weight and octane of fuel.
The high output coil and Dyna Mod module allow spark plug gaps to be opened to .055". The
combination of the custom advance curve and the high output coil and module will give you
instant throttle response, quicker starts and more horsepower. The D.U.I. is virtually waterproof
making it ideal for off-road conditions. Since the electronic components are located inside the
distributor, they are not exposed to the elements of off road conditions that will cause stock and
other aftermarket ignition systems to fail. Although the D.U.I. is uniquely designed, replacement
parts are easy to find. GM HEI replacement parts will fit right on the DUI and these parts can
be found at your local auto parts store. An optional tach hookup is included with the D.U.I.

The D.U.I. (Davis Unified Ignition) Street/Strip Coil Kit fires up to 7000 rpm's. This kit includes the coil, brass terminal cap and rotor, and nylon rotor hold down screws. The D.U.I. Street/Strip Coil Kit also allows spark plug gaps to be opened up to .055" due to the higher voltage output. Great for cold starts and plug fouling!
Performance Distributors LiveWires® come with a space age, heat resistant sleeving that provides superior
protection to the plug wires from the extreme underhood temperatures generated by the exhaust. The sleeving
is a non-flammable heat treated glass braid, much like the type used on todays ovens. The unique sleeving on
the LiveWires provides heat protection up to +1400° F and offers excellent resistance to moisture and chemicals.
LiveWires are custom fit, so no assembly is required. Each wire is numbered on both ends for the correct cylinder
making installation, removal and re-installation quick and easy. No cutting, splicing or crimping is required like
other aftermarket wire sets. Some applications are available for both over the valve covers and under the headers.
LiveWires have a durable and long lasting silicone jacket and insulation. Heat shrink applied between the boot and
the sleeving keeps dirt and moisture away from wire terminals. Dielectric grease is included with all sets and should
be applied to the spark plug boots to prevent voltage leakage and keep wire terminals and boots from sticking to
the plug.
LiveWires are a spiral core wire which means they have a stainless steel wire wrapped around a magnetic core.
This is a suppression type wire so there is no electronic interference with the radio or computer and they work well
with delay boxes and stutter boxes. A spiral wound core also offers extremely low resistance of 300 - 350 Ohms
per foot for optimum spark travel.

Brass Terminal Cap and Rotor Kits
Don't cheat your engine out of any firepower available! The cap and rotor are the finest quality made today. This kit offers up to 50% higher dielectric strength and can handle all the voltage available with all Brass Terminals for maximum conductivity. The improved well design in the rotor eliminates burn-through. The material used in this kit has proven to be the ideal resin for caps and rotors to be used in DUI, Duraspark and Breaker Point systems. The nylon rotor screws eliminate a "ground" for the voltage to jump at high RPM's. V8 DUI Caps are available in Blue, Black, Red, Yellow and Clear. Duraspark caps are available in Blue or Red with a gray cap adapter.

For a crisper, smoother running engine, replace your stock HEI module with the Dyna-Mod.
The Dyna-Mod has more "electronic dwell" in it to provide more coil saturation time. The
additional saturation time allows the coil to produce a more intense spark. Our Street/Strip
and Racing D.U.I. Distributors require our 4-pin Dyna-Mod.
